The Aligarh district administration has made biometric attendance mandatory for all madrasa teachers, officials said on Thursday. "The salaries of madrasa teachers will be disbursed based on their biometric attendance records," officials added. The officials further said that the move will help to identify illegal madrasas in the district. Aligarh currently has 120 registered madrasas.
