Uttar Pradesh government will celebrate Van Mahotsav from July 1–7, planting 35 crore saplings, officials said on Wednesday. Over 52 crore saplings have been gathered, and soil has been prepared on 72,912 hectares. "With CM Yogi Adityanath’s strong commitment to boosting green cover...UP is set to once again lead the nation," officials said. Saplings include teak, medicinal and ornamental trees.
