The daily UPI transactions crossed 700 million for the first time on August 2, doubling in two years from the 350 million transactions/day recorded in August 2023. Meanwhile, it registered around 500 million daily transactions during August 2024. UPI recorded around 19.5 billion transactions worth over ₹25 lakh crore during July, which makes the average daily transaction at ₹83,000 crore.
