The US has imposed temporary restrictions on its government personnel visiting high-end hotels in Karachi, Pakistan, following a reported threat targeting these establishments, the State Department said. In its security alert, US government staff in Pakistan were also urged to avoid crowded areas, maintain a low profile and remain vigilant, especially in locations frequented by Western nationals.
