US President Donald Trump has announced a new federal scheme wherein babies born in the country between 2025-2029 will receive a one-time $1,000 (over ₹85,000) payment in government-funded investment accounts. The initiative is named 'Trump Savings Account' and is part of a larger policy package called the 'Big Beautiful Bill', which was cleared by US House of Representatives last month.
