Democrats in Congress on Saturday criticised the Donald Trump administration's decision to purchase two Gulfstream G700 business jets worth $172 million (over ₹1,500 crore) during the ongoing government shutdown. The aircraft will be used by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other senior officials, Reuters reported. The US Coast Guard entered into a sole-source contract on Friday.
