US' Department of State has distanced itself from claims that American citizens with alleged links to President Donald Trump travelled to Greenland and committed espionage in a bid to make Greenland secede from Denmark. "US government does not control or direct the actions of private citizens," the department said. Denmark also summoned top US diplomat over the report.
