The US government has relaxed the CHIPS Act requirements for Intel, following its acquisition of a 10% stake in the company. Under the new terms, Intel no longer has to meet stringent milestones or share project cash flows with the Commerce Department. Instead, it will qualify for funding by showing it has already spent $7.9 billion on agreed projects.
