One person has been hospitalised in Missouri in the US after contracting a brain-eating amoeba, mostly after water skiing in the Lake of the Ozarks, state health officials said. The patient is being treated in the ICU for a confirmed Naegleria fowleri amoeba infection. Officials said the patient became ill days after they were at the lake.
