US-based retailer Costco will open its first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India to handle technology and research functions, a report stated. The GCC will be located in Hyderabad and is set to initially employ 1000 people, with potential future expansion. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, Target, McDonald's and Heineken already have their GCCs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
