US imposed sanctions on two Indians, Sadiq Abbas Habib Sayyed and Khizar Mohammad Iqbal Shaikh, for supplying lakhs of counterfeit prescription pills laced with fentanyl to American customers. Shaikh's India-based firm, KS International Traders, which purportedly functioned as an online pharmacy, has also been sanctioned. The accused worked with used encrypted platforms to sell their drugs.
