US has imposed sanctions on at least six Indian companies for purchasing and marketing in Iranian petroleum and petrochemicals. Under the sanctions, all assets of these companies in US or controlled by US persons are now frozen and Americans are prohibited from doing business with them. The companies include Kanchan Polymers, Alchemical Solutions and Jupiter Dye Chem among others.
