RBI's ex-Governor Raghuram Rajan said the US "shouldn't be satisfied with this level of debt" as it's a vulnerability. "People say pandemics [will] be more regular over the next century, so we can't be satisfied with building up debt," he stated. He advised the US and other nations to cut debt to prepare for emergencies and to aid each other.
