US-based Mercor's CEO Brendan Foody claimed he's paying $1 million/day to "people in our marketplace", noting that Mercor scaled from $1-500 million in revenue run-rate in 17 months. Responding to him, Mercor's Indian-origin employee Pranav Mehta called the startup "fastest-growing company of all time". He said employees work 72-hour workweeks at Mercor, which sometimes stretch to 100 hours/week.
