US special envoy Thomas Barrack said US would reduce its military bases in Syria from eight to one. He stated, "Our current Syria policy...will not be close to Syria policy of the last 100 years...because none of these have worked." He also said Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces were US allies and that integrating them into Syria’s new government was important.
