Shankar Chaudhary, Chairman of Banas Dairy and Speaker of Gujarat Assembly, claimed that for quite some years, the United States has been pressurising India to import food-grains and milk. "To increase fat and calcium...they take the leftover fat from slaughter-houses and mix it with the fodder meant for cattle...US is trying to bring such milk into India," he added.
