US Vice-President JD Vance intervened after his 12-year-old relative, Adaline Deal, was denied heart transplant by Cincinnati Children's Hospital over her not being vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu. Vance said, "We're trying to help as much as possible. She's a distant relative, but someone I care about." Deal has congenital heart condition.
