In a major boost to farmers, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has raised sugarcane prices by ₹30 per quintal for 2025-26 crushing season, ₹400 for early and ₹390 for normal varieties. The hike will add ₹3,000 crore to farmers' income. UP, India's top sugarcane producer, has paid a record ₹2.9 lakh crore to farmers under Yogi Adityanath's tenure.
