Uttar Pradesh is now one of the cleanest states in India. At the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 rankings held in Delhi on Thursday, July 17, the state won multiple categories. Among the state's standout performers, Lucknow shone the brightest. It ranked third among cities with a population of over one million and also earned the prestigious 7-star Garbage Free City certification.
