The Uttarakhand government will impose a green tax on vehicles coming to Uttarakhand from outside states from December, officials said. According to officials, the decision aims at controlling pollution and protecting the environment in the state. Different tax rates have been fixed for various vehicle categories: ₹80 for small vehicles, ₹250 for small cargo vehicles, and ₹140 for buses.
