Venezuela plans to boost military deployment in border areas noting that the region constitutes a "drug-trafficking route". This move comes after US dispatched several warships to Southern Caribbean last month in what it describes as an operation against drug cartels. "No one is going to step on this land and do what we're supposed to do," Venezuela's Defence Minister said.
