On day one of the Ranji Trophy 2024/25 final on Wednesday, Vidarbha promoted fast bowler Darshan Nalkande to No.3 in the first over of the match. Nalkande had never batted above No.8 in first-class cricket before this match. He was out for one off 21 balls, doing his likely job of seeing off some of the new ball.
