Heavy rains increase the risk of tree falls and accidents. In Bengaluru's Banashankari, 29-year-old Akshay died after a tree branch struck him while riding his two-wheeler without a helmet. Returning from a meat shop, he was severely injured when the branch fell near his home in Srinivas Nagar. He died from cardiac arrest five days after hospitalisation.
