Videos showing the moment when some people began to fall in the crowd before the situation developed into a stampede during actor-politician Vijay's rally in Tamil Nadu have surfaced online. A video showed people screaming for help as they climbed on top of one another to catch their breath. At least 39 people were killed in the stampede on Saturday.
