Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has launched a factory in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi, its first production unit in India. It plans to roll out cars to the showroom later this month, CEO Pham Sanh Chau told Reuters, weeks after world's biggest EV maker Tesla launched its first store in India. The VinFast plant is expected to produce 1.5 lakh EVs annually.
