A South Korean court ordered a social media user to pay 500,000 Won (nearly ₹31,000) for defaming Plave, a virtual K-pop boyband. Although user argued that comments were aimed at fictional characters and not real people behind them, court rejected the plea. It said if avatar is recognised to represent someone real, then attacks are also extended to the person.
