A 16-year-old boy in Visakhapatnam underwent a rare, complex 6.5-hour surgery at KIMS Seethammadhara Hospital to remove a 4.5 kg malignant liver tumour, nearly the size of a football. Doctors preserved healthy liver tissue to aid regeneration. The boy recovered well, was discharged in five days, and has since completed six chemotherapy cycles.
