The Karnataka government will posthumously award the Karnataka Ratna to legendary actor Vishnuvardhan and actress B Sarojadevi, recognising their immense contributions to Kannada cinema. The move follows widespread demand from fans and artists. Additionally, the state cabinet will recommend Kannada Rashtrakavi Kuvempu for the Bharat Ratna, marking historic cultural recognition.
