VLCC has been fined ₹3 lakh by Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) for misleading advertisements regarding its fat-loss and slimming treatments using CoolSculpting treatment. VLCC claimed CoolSculpting could help "lose up to 600g and 7cm in one session", "drop one size in one session permanently" and "drop one size in one hour". CCPA noted CoolSculpting isn't a weight-loss treatment.
