Krasheninnikov Volcano in Russia's Kamchatka erupted for the first time in 600 years, Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team's head Olga Girina said. She added that the eruption may be connected to the earthquake on Wednesday that triggered Tsunami and warnings as far away as French Polynesia, and was followed by an eruption of Kamchatka Peninsula's most active volcano Klyuchevskoy.
