In a remarkable testament to the power of voluntary service, a two-lane stretch of a proposed four-lane road between Kanpur Khuhi and Singpur in Punjab’s Ropar district has been built without any government funding. At the center of this achievement, accomplished entirely through kar seva, is Baba Satnam Singh, head of the Kar Seva Jatha Kila Anandgarh Sahib.
