The Election Commission has introduced a new procedure to deliver new or updated voter identity cards within 15 days of an update in the electoral roll. Currently, it takes over a month for the Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) to be delivered to voters. Electors will be notified of the status of their EPIC at each stage via SMS.
