BJP MLA from Patparganj constituency Ravinder Singh Negi said that meat shops in front of temples should remain shut during "holy fasts of Navratri". "When I went to...temple on Tuesday, I saw...a meat shop was open right in front of...it. I felt...bad seeing this," Negi added. "So I requested...traders to close...shops outside...temples on Tuesday and [they] readily accepted," he stated.
