Former RJD leader Rajballabh Yadav triggered a controversy over his comments on Tejashwi Yadav’s wife. Without naming her, he said, "Caste is used only for votes...Was he (Tejashwi) getting a woman or a jersey cow? Was there no girl in...Yadav community?" RJD condemned the comments, saying, "Making such derogatory comments against [Lalu Prasad Yadav's] daughter-in-law hurt the society."
