CJI BR Gavai responded to the shoe attack on him in the Supreme Court premises and said, "My learned brother and I are very shocked with what happened on Monday, but it's a forgotten chapter." The Supreme Court Bar Association has expelled the lawyer who hurled the show at him. He is also barred from entering the SC premises.
