A solar-powered water lift system is helping cheetah cubs born in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park survive extremely hot and harsh conditions. The system pumps water from the Kuno River and transports it through a pipeline to sprinklers and water saucers at over 15 locations inside the park. In 2023, three cubs died due to extreme heat in the park.
