Responding to actor-politician Kamal Haasan's "Kannada was born from Tamil" remark, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar on Monday urged the people not to make it a political issue. He said, "We all have to work together and live together... we're not enemies, we're all friends." Earlier, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticised Haasan for being unaware of Karnataka’s long-standing history.
