The Supreme Court, in its August 11 order asking authorities to relocate stray dogs to shelters in Delhi-NCR, said, "We condemn those who, beneath the cloak of ‘love and care’ for the voiceless, pursue the warmth of self-congratulation." It further advised those who sought to oppose relocation of the stray dogs to adopt and give dogs shelter in their homes.
