Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country doesn't aim to build nuclear weapons but will defend its "legitimate rights" to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Pezeshkian told UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed that Iran does not want conflict but will not back down from its rights. He said Iran was "ready to resolve the issues at the negotiating table.
