During a rally in poll-bound Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said "We earned Mumbai with our blood and sweat". He said, "Nobody should cast an eye on Mumbai. Jo hamla karega, usko kaatenge (Will cut those who try to harm Mumbai.)" He added that MVA will shut down Metropolitan Region Development Authority if it hindered the city's progress.
