Ravichandran Ashwin praised Mohammed Siraj after India's victory at The Oval, saying, "We failed to recognise Siraj." Calling him champion bowler, Ashwin added, "Siraj's bowling action, technique and good work ethic are allowing him to play all five Tests in a series." Ashwin opined Siraj could become India's number one Test bowler and he must be rested from inconsequential matches.
