After the US hiked the H-1B visa application fee to $100,000 (₹88 lakh), Germany said highly skilled Indians are welcome to the country as it gives the "best jobs to best people". "We don't change our [migration] rules fundamentally overnight," German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, said, adding that on an average, Indians earn more than Germans in the country.
