Composer AR Rahman spoke about working with director Mani Ratnam for 'Thug Life'. "[During] final mixing of 'Thug Life'...he asked me...to [make] music a little aggressive in a particular scene. We changed it [in] one hour...That's the freedom we have," he said. The composer further spoke about their decades-long connection and how Ratnam has seen Rahman's growth.
