Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi, at IIT Madras, said India hit Pakistan's heartland for the first time in Operation Sindoor. "Our target was nursery and master. Pakistan wasn't expecting that the heartland would be hit; that was a shocker," he said. Dwivedi added that they were prepared for any kind of blockback that would have come in response from Pakistan.
