Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar paid tribute to late singer Zubeen Garg at his funeral and promised to allocate land for his memorial in the state. He noted that Assamese residents living in Karnataka had requested land for memorial, adding, "We'll grant this." Singer Zubeen Garg passed away on September 19 in a scuba diving accident in Singapore.
