NCP chief Ajit Pawar justified his decision to join hands with BJP and said his colleagues were politicians not "saints" who could remain in opposition and be content with shouting slogans. "We are here to address people's issues," he said. When asked about possible merger of two NCP factions, Pawar added, "It is party leaders who decide on such matters."
