Amid the investigation into the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, Meghalaya Police said, "She (Sonam) has already confessed to the crime...and today we recreated the crime scene." They added, "Three people killed Raja...and she (Sonam) destroyed the phone. It was all pre-planned." Raja was murdered while he was on his honeymoon, by hitmen allegedly hired by his wife, Sonam.
