Ahead of MiG-21's final sortie, Ministry of Defence wrote on X, "We shall remember you, #MiG21! A legendary icon of the Indian Air Force, this fearless warrior has etched its valour across generations." The first MiG-21 planes were inducted into the Indian Air Force in 1963. The decommissioning flypast of the fighter jet will take place in Chandigarh today.
