Weight training twice a week may protect the brain from cognitive decline or dementia, according to a study published in GeroScience. Researchers divided 44 adults with mild cognitive impairment into two groups; one performed twice-weekly weight training, while the other did not. The training group showed improved memory performance compared to the non-training group, the findings suggest.
