A week after India's suspension of Indus Waters Treaty over Pahalgam terror attack, the government has reportedly begun increasing reservoir storage capacities by removing sediment at two hydroelectric projects in J&K. It's also expected to accelerate construction of six stalled hydroelectric projects in the region. India has also shut gates of Baglihar and Salal dams, both on Chenab river.
